LOL I believe you, Ed. A company I worked for hired a programmer on a
temp-to-permanent basis. It would have turned into a full time job with
excellent benefits after 90 days. The company paid to send him for
additional training in Progress RDBMS. He took full advantage of that
training and immediately found a job with another company. They stopped
hiring on a temp-to-perm basis after being burned a couple of times like
that.
