That's a long drive, especially if you aren't used to it.
That's what a one-way trip to see my parent entails.
I plan to do this soon. I'm not used to driving long-distance
at all but it should be an adventure to me.

I also plan to take a detour on the way to see the old neighborhood
where I grew up for many years. And see my old house. This is in the
Washington DC suburbs. My parents now live way west in the mountains of
Maryland. I never lived there but that's where Mom(tm) grew up.
