Virginia got hit much harder than where I live.
Tropical storms and hurricanes seem to jump right over us. Oh, sure,
Hermine dumped a lot of rain and it got pretty windy. My driveway was
covered with little bits of debris (leaves and small twigs). The mighty
oak in the front yard is still standing and so is the house.

Glad to hear it! The power didn't even blink here. Knock wood, it
seems we only have (extended) power outages when the weather is
perfectly calm. IOW, for no apparent reason.
