I can't hear them. I can hear a Canada goose honking four miles away
and the very distant rumble of thunder when my wife can't. She told me
crickets were loud tonight, and that startled me. I thought crickets
were extinct. Between the two of us, we have the hearing acuity of one
forty year old.
Yeah, yeah, hearing aids, blah, blah. There are real benefits
associated with going deaf.
