It's a mixture of crumbs, sugar or syrup, and melted butter. If the
crunch content wasn't crushed biscuits/cookies than I'd guess it was
some combination of
toasted bread crumbs
toasted rolled oats
chopped nuts
crushed cornflakes (or some other kind of breakfast cereal).
