We usually only have potatoes w=for breakfast when out son comes for
that meal. He once had 4 day layover in London on his way home from
Africa and was thrilled by the full English breakfast. I used to have
them occasionally with breakfasts with my co-workers.

Cornbread? My mother used to make it once in a while. I have made it a
couple times. I have never seen it in a restaurant. Forget about grits.
I can't even find them in a store here. I can cross the order and get
fast cooking grits, but even I know that fast cooking grits is not real
grits. I once had grits with breakfast in a restaurant in Virginia. I
liked them.
