That's where the Democrats really screwed him over. His winning pledge
was "No new taxes." Once he got to be president, the dem-majority
congress would NOT agree to anything he wants unless he agreed to
supporting the "DEMOCRATS" new taxes. So he agreed to approve THEIR new
taxes. 4 years later, they turned that around on him and portrayed him
as a dirty liar. It was a cheap trick on the Dem side.
