They actually started their voyage from Leiden in the Netherlands. The
Pilgrims were a bunch of extremist Protestants that had been shit
disturbers back in England and were political emigres in the
Netherlands. Their ship was leaking so they had to stop in England and
ended up on the Mayflower instead.
