You're right. I don't know what they tossed out. The notice reported
that they had generators. The information so far is that the power went
off in the hurricane a week ago. I questioned the claim that the food
was *fresh*. If it is the food that has been in (working) coolers since
the hurricane hit last week it would be at least a week old.
FWIW.... I just looked at the guide for food handlers in Ontario. The
section on storage suggests the maximum time that various foods should
be stored and the fish, meat and fowl have a limit less than a week. A
number of fruits and vegetables are also under a week.
That doesn't mean they are dangerous to eat, but they certainly are not
*fresh*.
