Price is what killed my interest in kerosene. When I first arrived
here, from CA, I saw some kerosene "on sale". It was about $25 fer 3
gals. That's a tad over $8/gal! My mom had one of those kerosene
heaters. About 40K BTU. Almost new. I couldn't give it away.

If yer gonna keep no. 1 coal oil around, get some Alladin lamps:
