In Australia at least, crocs are farmed for both their meat and hides.
They are not sourced from the wild.

I doubt any meat would be destined for animal consumption. That said,
I left the Northern Territory back in 1992 and haven't been back
since, so I'm not 100% sure. IMO it's very unlikely because
logistically and economically it wouldn't make much sense.
