I have the single story ones too. I wouldn't want upper cabinets with
carpenter installed permanent lazy susans, I like that they can be
easily relocated and are easy to remove for washing in the sink. I
use mine for my spices, the often used ones on the lazy susan, the
rest in taller bottles in the dead spaces in the corners. Even though
they are plastic they've so far lasted more than 30 years, I paid
maybe a dollar each back then. I know where everything is located,
and all in different shaped bottles, I could find them were I blind.
No one but me touches anything in my kitchen, I do all the cooking. My
wife has an electric tea kettle to boil water for tea and hot
chocolate, she uses the microwave and bread toaster, never the stove.
