I had not planned on making any this year (or I would have done so in
August latest) but in planning Xmas Day meal with my
granddaughter-in-law my grandson suddenly spoke up and said "No Xmas
pud ???' - so I relented only to find after I said I never noticed his
generation eating it that what he was scared of missing was the pud
flambč, not eating it.

Anyway I made a small one the other day just winging, looks reasonable
but I am adding brandy as fast as it will consume it, that's the only
hope that it might taste good.
