We really don't have an Australian/Tasmanian version as such, I
suspect there are as many variations here as you find most anywhere
else. That said, using milk would be uncommon here.

I've never added milk but occasionally I have used cream. I don't have
a fixed recipe and probably have never made it exactly the same way
twice. I'm not a stickler for 'authenticity'.
