I doubt he's saying that. cshenk was asking what qualifications are
required other than being polite and ringing up groceries. The systems
are computerized and not every store has the same system. Handling lots
of money requires them to be bonded. So yes, they're going to check and
not hire someone as a cashier who has a record for, oh, burglary.
