I have had a recipe for "fruitcake cookies" since the 50s; made them once, and
liked them, but there are so many other cookies I used to make at Christmas,
these fell by the wayside. The same thing goes for Mincemeat Foldovers ..
a cream cheese short-dough cookie that is cut into squares and then two opposite points
are folded over a teaspoon of filling. Man, I love mincemeat, but I am the only
one in the family who does. And the days when I made dozens of cookies are long
gone. Good memories, though. ;-))
