Default Christmas baking is done

This was my first foray into the fruitcake cookie domain.
Actually I like these a bit better than fruitcake and I
guess that's because they don't require ageing and easy
to grab and munch. There's not too many cookies I don't
like. :-)

Mincemeat is truly a favorite pie of mine. I've never
made one but have never passed up a slice when offered.
I'll take mine with or without a scoop of vanilla ice
cream; I ain't picky!
