Maybe they had to wait for their paycheck before they could
get groceries.

I had to get my car battery replaced before I could go grocery
shopping. I was there around 11 am, and it was crowded, but
not insane.

Could have been worse. If I'd tried to go grocery shopping Thursday
after work, I'd have been stranded at the grocery store. As it
was, I got home before the car decided it wasn't going to turn
over one more time.
