another genre entirely, but have you ever read any of Spencer Quinn's,
Chet and Bernie Mystery's? Bernie is a bumbling detective and Chet is
his dog. I adore them and wish Quinn wrote more of them. The titles
give clue to the slightly warped mind behind them -- 'A Fistful of
Collars,' 'To Fetch a Thief', 'Thereby hangs a Tail, etc. You see
most of the story through the eyes and mind of Chet.
