Yes, you are correct. So you evidently ran into many mean people in
Manchester. Didn't you meet some very nice people too? I would never
label a town or city bad because of a few people. There are good and bad
everywhere you go. Every neighborhood always seems to have at least one
trouble maker.
Even every single person has their good and bad sides.

They were generally unpleasant. Usually if I am out and about there is the
odd word between people. Try that there and they look at you as though you
are mad.

The people around me would just stare past if you said good morning. It
didn't take me long to stop.

Saying that a place is wonderful because you know a couple of people from
there is crazy. Perhaps they got nice after they left.

Of course not every single person was nasty, but the greater number of them
were than were pleasant.

During that time I travelled with my husband, I lived in 5 different places
and that was the *only* one to which I will never return.
