Yes, US Janet, I remember those competitions well. PBS used to carry
some shows, too, that featured internationally-known chefs demonstrating
their various skills. It is sad that the Food Network has dumbed down so much.
But, like the network says, it is about "entertainment," not necessarily only
cooking and baking.
