Yes, of course. That's why many modern electric cooktops (including
induction cooktops) have two smaller burner elements that can be
"joined" and controlled together specifically for that purpose.
I've had one of each -- regular electric and induction -- and used
two-burner griddles regularly, with no problems whatsoever.
