It's entirely possible that there are laws in the UK that protect
the buyer and seller where we rely on the sales contract.
Then again, there are plenty of simple real estate sales that don't
involve attorneys or real estate agents. We've only once had an
attorney involved, and he's a buddy of ours who looked over the
paperwork and took beer as his payment.

We need an attorney to have it registered with the Land Registry, but we
didn't need an estate agent with this house.
