I was already living here when I inherited the house. Taking care of my
mother. Cooking, cleaning, shopping for groceries. Making sure she got
medical care. What was I supposed to do, leave and let the house sit
empty for two years while I thought things over? Tell the electric
company and the water company and the tax people, sorry, can't pay any
bills because I haven't decided what to do yet. It doesn't work that way.
