These ships built with the technology of the 18th century are wonderful to
behold. We have an iron-hulled oil tanker built about 100 years later. It's
moored in Honolulu harbor at the moment. It was used as a maritime museum
but now it's future is uncertain. My guess is that the Falls of Clyde will
end up in Scotland; where it was built. Either that or it'll be scuttled
somewhere off of Oahu. Maybe it will be sold to the Chinese as scrap. That
would be a shame. If I was Mark Zuckerberg, I'd buy it and turn it into an
awesome party boat!
