I, too, think faux meat is... weird. Either be a vegetarian
and enjoy the multifarious ways that vegetables, grains, legumes,
dairy and (possibly) eggs can be cooked, or just eat meat if
you can't hack giving it up.

Vegetarians are as welcome to express their opinions as anybody
else. They should not be surprised when omnivores ignore them.
