I had some hippie friends who liked to talk about health foods despite
the fact that they ate a lot of crap. They were always pushing carob. I
could go along with the idea of it being a chocolate substitute, by
which I mean it was something that you use instead of chocolate, not
really as a substitute. It looked a bit like chocolate but it had none
of good qualities of chocolate.
