I don't have any issues with unmarried couples having children. They are
likely as capable of raising kids as any married couple, and maybe more
than some. I do have concerns about single young women having children
and no means to support them. The cost and hassle of day care makes it
difficult for them to finish their education and to get and keep a
decent job. I have to admit that there are the odd exceptional cases
where the do better themselves and the kids do well, but far too many of
them get stuck in a cycle of poverty.
