Either can work. My first choice would be the toaster oven. Just don't
set the temp too high or the outside will burn before the inside get done.

In the microwave, use one of the chicken setting but keep an eye on it
so it does not get overdone. It will use a low power microwave yet use
real heat for better exture.

He does have a convection setting. On mine, I can use both convection and
MW at the same time. I haven't used it much but it is good.

It gets the speed of the MW and the heat of the convection.
