Why didn't you tell them that when you walked in? Taken the
host/hostess aside and said, "It's her birthday". Place like Outback
will give her free a slice of cake or pie or something.

It's an interesting story. I only halfway believe it. I do believe
older men with young women who look like teens are often suspect. But I
don't believe you'd sit there with the waitress glaring at you and your
daughter throughout the meal without speaking up. Or without your
daughter noticing it. (I do hope you weren't snuggled up next to her
all cozy in a booth. LOL)
I also don't believe the server suddenly announced she's also a Social
Worker. If she had been, she'd have gone quietly in the back and called
her boss and the cops.
