It actually works so much better.

Catfish skin is real thin but tough.

Filleting it ain't a lot of fun, but treating it like a rabbit skinning
works wonders.

This is old timer wisdom and they rarely play practical jokes.

Admittedly one set of pliers smelled a bit lakey, so they went in my
tackle box.
