That wouldn't happen in my house, I'd just lock her out of the
kitchen. I still have the kitchen key which became part of our history
here.

When we viewed this house for sale, the obnoxious owner had just had
a stupendous row with his wife and she had locked herself in the
kitchen, where she was crashing saucepans in a temper and wouldn't let
us in. The closing date was only a week away. So we never met her or saw
the kitchen before buying the place.

When we finally did get in the kitchen to see what we'd bought, I
opened a mystery door and discovered...a walk in pantry, my hearts
desire. One of the best surprises ever.
