For the longest time (during the meal) I was just hoping that I
was wrong and maybe imagining things. I didn't want to spoil my
daughters special birthday meal either. Only at the very end did
I realize that I was right and waitress did assume I was some old
guy dating a young girl.
You or someone here was right though....I should have announced
the dad and daughter birthday thing right as we sat down. That's
hindsight though. I never imagined that anyone would think the
wrong scenario. Oh well.
PS - my daughter did miss all that behind the scene nonsense. She
DID have a nice steak dinner and that was my only concern.
and as I said too....hopefully Miss Social Worker learned not to
prejudge or guess about people until she knew facts and not
imagination.
