Not the standard three-tab, but the newer "architectural" shingles
that look something like weathered cedar shingles.

It's a funny thing. I almost never see my roof unless I explicitly
look at it, so it hardly matters what it looks like. From the
street, the tree canopy makes it all but invisible. Love those
mature maples.

The fact that the house is veneered with split fieldstone is much
more important; I see that every day.
