That's the way our Target is laid out. My guess is that most of them have that same design philosophy. The front half of the store has an open floor plan. It's the part in the middle that has the barrier you have to go around.. I'm not sure why they do this but that's what I expect to see in any Target I go to. The back of the store has a food section that has an open layout.
