I used to work a compressed work week, 4 ten hour shifts per week. In
the winter I left for work at 6:30 am and the sun was not up until
almost 8am and was down by about 5 pm, so on day shifts and midnights I
was travelling to and from work in the dark. Afternoon shifts were 2 pm
to midnight, so I got to go to work in sunlight for a couple hours, but
then it was dark.
