you can get a package of hot dogs for $.99 and a loaf of white bread
for $.99. Around here I can get a gallon of milk for $1.97. That's a
lot of food for $4 compared to what you would get for canned pet food.
Remember, we are talking food for people who have little to no money,
not gourmet, high nutrition. That story about poor people eating pet
food because it is cheap is probably older than Gary.
