Climate does have to do with the origins of harvest festivals, though.
But no, it's not cold here yet. This is one of my currently blooming
azalea bushes:

It will get cold (relatively speaking) in December, January and
February. But as a rule, it doesn't snow. You know that's what Dave is
talking about.
