I haven't had an actual Christmas tree in about 30 years. Who needs
pine needles shedding all over the place (requiring a tree skirt). A
pan of water to try to keep it from turning brown too fast. Decorating
it, then taking all the decorations down. And disposing of the tree.
That stuff is for folks who have children who expect presents.
My oldest brother made that ceramic tree for our Mom when he was 12. He
insisted I keep it.
I don't decorate much but I do have this on a table in the living room:

The red glass bowl was a gift with some flowers my SO sent to me. The
fabric ornaments in the bowl were sent to me by a former RFC poster a
long, long time ago.
