It's bad enough that people let their dogs crap on other people's lawns
and not clean it up, but some intentionally take their dogs elsewhere
and encourage it. When I was a teen there was someone from another
street who frequently brought her dog to crap in our front yard and
would stand there and encourage the dog to have a dumb there, then
praise it when the dirty deed was done. My brother went out and
confronted her one day and she wisely stopped. I guess she took him
seriously when he said he would pick it up and throw on her front steps.
There are some pick it up in those little poop bags and then leave the
bag there. I see those things on the walking trails around here. Heck,
they could have just flicked the turds into the bushes and no one would
see them. I saw a lady do it on a bicycle trail on day. She had picked
the stuff up, tied the bag, looked around to see if anyone was watching.
I pointed it out as I went by and she said that it must have slipped
out of her hand. Yeah. Right.
We once visited with some friends in Sweden who had two dogs and took
them for long walks every night. The only mow the grass on one side of
the trails on a regular basis and the other side is for curbing your
dogs. The turds are hidden in the long grass.
