That annoys the hell out of me. The one at the ice cream take out place
say "tips for college" and they put it away when the owner shows up. I
worked for him 13 years ago, and then he paid $6.50 an hour to scoop ice
cream and brew coffee.
The best by far around here though is the tip cup at a locally owner
Italian fast food chain, at lunch time one chooses beverage from cooler,
pizza, calzone, or pasta from under heat lights and waits in line at the
register. I'm sure as hell not tipping someone for ringing up a sale
correctly and giving me the correct change.
