Same here. They're always diapers. I only ever heard them
referred to as nappies on BBC or other UK programming.

Also true, it describes black people's hair but not that it's
unruly, just the texture of it. I feel like there's a
derogatory connotation to its use, at least by non-black
people. I wouldn't go there.
