I haven't heard them called STs since boarding school

There was the interesting case of Lizzie Borden. I read a book that
investigated her case very carefully and it was determined she
couldn't/wouldn't defend herself properly because she would not allow
the lawyer to say she had been in the basement at the time her father
and stepmother were hacked up - washing her diapers.
