Saying I'm poor is probably an insult to poor people. Mostly, I'm cheap. Yesterday we had an assortment of maki sushi with some Okinawan sweet potato mash with coconut milk and ginger. Also an assortment of poke, smoked pork ribs, and fruits. It was a rather colorful spread.

My step mom broke open her caviar in a tube. My son just loves Kalles Kaviar and she promised to pick up a tube for him the next time she can get to an Ikea. It's the most intensely umami food I've ever tasted. For some reason, a lot of folks don't react well to it.
