What's your favorite Birthday Dinner? Do you even celebrate with a
Birthdays with a special dinner?

This is a tradition we've had in my family forever - DH and I started
doing them when we got married.

DH turned 47 this week and DS turned 8 months on the same day.
Tonight I cooked DH's BD Dinner...

Shrimp coctail with my version of coctail sauce
roasted Cornish game hens with onions, garlic and rosemary (with
gravy)
parslied potatoes (boring but he loves them...)
steamed fresh broccoli and carrots (ditto)
cornbred
Strawberry/apple/rhubarb/blackberry/blueberry pie (superb!)
apple pie with crumb topping
vanilla bean ice cream (homemade of course!)
Cascade Ale

DS celebrated with parslied potatoes, carrots and soy milk. He
tried the broccoli and decided I was trying to poison him.

My favorite BD dinner is homemade mushroom, black olive and spinach
pizza. Unfortunately, I'm the one who has to make it. My second
runner-up is asparagus and mushroom fajitas with spanish rice, pintos,
chips, salsa and guac. Margies and/or mojitos are a must!
