I got my last pair of reading glasses at Walmart. They were a fraction
of what I would have paid at the optometrist. I remember seeing the
promotional sign about lenses being $40. I picked out a cheap pair of
frames and since they were just readers I didn't need any of the extras.
I had expected the price to be per lens, and I was delightfully
surprised to see that it was $40 for both lenses. The last time I got
readers at the optometrist was about 15 years ago and they were $230,
and my Walmart readers were about $120.
