A 7 mile wide meteor did it TO the Dinosaurs in ONE DAY! 6th Extinction, from which Humans sprung, and we did it over a couple of hundred YEARS!! 2nd Industrial REVOLUTION, remember? Steam (for which we burned ANYTHING to boil water!), then OIL/PETROLEUM!!! And WE ARE STILL BURNING IT! And anything else we can find. :-(
