I actually thought about it before and in STL in the Summer it gets dark almost as late as 9PM and then in Winter it gets dark at 5PM! That's too wide a range in variation! I think we should change the clocks up an hour, then back, then back an hour, then back! To keep when it gets dark around 7PM.
But that's far too complex for the simple human mind!
