Default Potato fail!

I have made a Gordon Ramsey potato recipe many times but this time it was a
fail. It's thinly sliced potatoes and onions, layered with fresh herbs,
salt, pepper, olive oil, broth, then baked.

My old Food Processor could slice large potatoes. My new one can't. I do
have a mandolin but wasn't able to use it. Angela can use it with varying
degrees of success. I had resorted to a knife, but that always left at least
one slice a little too thick. It would not quite be done while the others
were perfect.

This time I decided to use my box grater. I was amazed at how thin the
slices were. Apparently too thin. Not only that but both hands are numb.

The end result? The potatoes cooked down to mush. Weird mouth feel, no
potato taste. Just onion. Oops!
