mIRC is the ONLY program I know of to access IRC (I don't
have computer geek friends) and I really thought mIRC had a
corner on the market.

I guess my old isp had an internal program that made it
waaay tooo easy for me to access irc, so when mIRC was
virtually the only Big Dog around - I got turned off to
internet relay chat (not meaning AIM/MSN chat).
Unfortunately, I never enjoyed using mIRC (on the occasions
I could get where I wanted to go).... or else I wouldn't be
complaining.

Yes. Thanks for cluing me into the fact that there are
CHOICES out there.

I'm open to anything EXCEPT mIRC, Ms. Smarty Pants - so list
some for me. Idiot proof programs are best, of course.
